Is the Checks Print 5Fold Umbrella automatic or manual?

It is a manual umbrella — slide the runner up to open and down to close. Manual umbrellas have fewer moving parts.

What is the Checks Print 5Fold Umbrella made of?

It has a pongee canopy, fiberglass ribs, a steel shaft and a plastic handle. Fiberglass ribs flex in a gust instead of bending.

Is a capsule (5 fold) umbrella good for heavy rain?

It is best for light rain, sun and travel. For heavy rain and wind, a 3 fold or straight umbrella gives more cover.

How do I open a capsule umbrella?

Take it out of its case, unfold the shaft sections and slide the runner up until it locks. Close it the same way in reverse and fold it back into the case.

Does the Checks Print 5Fold Umbrella protect from the sun?

Yes — its canopy is UV protective, so it works as a sun umbrella in summer as well as in the rain.

How many pieces come in one pack?

It is sold in packs of 12 pieces — the minimum order is one pack. Prints and colours come assorted by default; ask us if you need specific colours and we will check stock.
